Seinfeld is funny as usual, though I can't say I agree with him here; I think good actors deserve a bit more credit than he gives them (and he should know better than anyone that acting is hard -- nine seasons in and he never really improved much as an actor, not that it really mattered, as the show was always hilarious).

I agree with Sarzy. Seinfeld was just being cheeky. Hell, imagine our world filled with nothing but bad entertainers. Or crappy writers. It would be unbearable, like a long, never ending night of bad karaoke.

I usually think Seinfeld is a pompous windbag, but this is right on the money, IMO. I do concede that his words a bit extreme, but it's comedy and that's common for the laugh.

Seriously, why do we care what a celebrities view is on anything? I've known very few that I thought were at least as intelligent as the average person.

Not specifically celebrities, but rich people in general. We worship rich people like gods in America.

Seinfeld is kinda having his cake and eating it too here. Ironically, we DO care about what this celebrity has to say, as it rises the top 15 video chart.

I agree good actors (actually really good talented ones) should be recognized for their skill but there arent many of those in Hollywood. I think the bigger point is why should we give a shit about them outside of their skill. Its like asking a rocket scientist what he thought of the movie Jackass. Or what game show Einstein thought was the best. If you take them out of the their skilled element then it really doesnt matter what they have to say. Whats scary to me is that in America we love people who dress up and pretend to be other people (lie) to be our polititians. We are obsessed with actors leading us which is dangerous and makes no logical sense

I agree with Seinfeld here. Alot of the time we give credit to the actors for the entire production of a TV show and associate how they appear on screen with their real-life identities (thus the problem of type-casting). It's probably because the people like producers or writers, people who have more involvement in the creation of the show, are often invisible to the audience.
